I want to visit untouristy, yet attractive places in Amsterdam

Hi,I'm planningto visit Amsterdam, butI don't want to follow the usual tourist route. Is there any different kind of path for Off the track tourists? Where else can we go to see what's typically Dutch?

Hi, As a tourist in Amsterdam it is quite easy to have a totally personal experience. But even that individual experience will be shared with millions of other people who come to Amsterdam, due to the simple fact that having your very own individual Amsterdam groove, is one of the city's main attractions.
It is what you want it to be. There are places you could go however.
Check these:

Hope this is helpful,
Best regards,
Jord

I'm very sure you will enjoy this if you take a few moments to go through it. Submit another question for more specific info.

When you could explain what you are into i could give a better recommendation than just "get a boom chicago paper"

There are beautiful villages in the Netherlands you could visit. Thing is untouristy is not clear. Your profile should be able to leave some clues for us to better advise you.

You could visit the places being used in popular Dutch tv series and movies. In the 80's we've had our own 'James Bond' actions in the canals for the movie called Amsterdamned. Or you can visit the spots of our local 'CSI', called Baantjer. You can visit the bar and other spots of this very populair Dutch TV serie. Enjoy
