yes, you must know someone to get into the clubs that have golf courses. There is 3 of them. 1. Club Campestre Cuscatlan, at San Salvador, 2. Club Salvadoreño Corinto, at the lake Ilopango about 40 minutes from the city, and 3. Club Veraneras, near the ocean, about 1:15 hours going to Acajutla Port. Check them out on their websites, maybe they grant day passes for foreigners.

You can visit the golf courses mentioned, but you need someone to play with, so my best advise would be to contact the golf clubs in the area, starting with the National Golf Federation here is the info for them:
