Alot of Americans gather at local restaurants and pubs
that Tourists don't know about and seldom come to.
I live in Las Vegas and a lot of locals try to avoid the
Las Vegas Strip....as unusual as that might sound to a
Tourist. We have lots of natural beauty here and great
outdoor activities like hiking, ATVing and biking.
Once you get here be sure to meet a few locals and ask
them what they do for fun. I am sure that they will
direct you to the Area's hangouts and natural wonders.
