Hi,
I recommend the Merica hotel in the heart of the Nakuru town, it is in a central place and is accessible. Alternatively, Hotel Kunste would do. It is having a good view of the Lake Nakuru National park.

Hotel Waterbuck Nakuru
(west Rd;s/d/tw incl breakfast Ksh 2000/2500/2000; . Beneath the boring exterior lurk large kitschy African themed doubles. Although a bit brash, they are, in fact, comfortable and more memorable than any other room in town. The singles and twins are small, boring and lack balconies. Kindergarten colors surround the courtyard and swimming pool. Non- guests can take a dip for Ksh 100.
Midland Hotel-Nakuru
(Geoffrey Kamau Rd;s/d incl breakfast from Ksh 2300/3700)This popular place has a range of rooms ( most with carpets) with varying levels of comfort. A third wing has recently been added; the names ‘old wing’ and ‘new wing’ have already been taken. We are wondering what they will call it.
Please do join us in our excellent Camping safaris: lodge safaris; Birds watching Safaris, Gorilla trekking; mountain climbing; luxury-tented safaris; water rafting; beach safaris; balloon safaris & more.

I recommend midland hotel. Located at the heart of Nakuru town, and along a major highway, this is an ideal travellers' hotel. The general atmosphere is that of trianquility. With secure parking, wonderful food, friendly staff and nice rooms, you'll be forgiven to think you're home, and surprised you've saved some money.

I would suggest Lake Nakuru Lodge it is inside the park not far away from the gate there are very good sites, luxurious rooms and a swimming pool as well, private enough for honey moons and wedding with a different taste i. e in the wild. The price is not exorbitant

If it is just for dinner without accommodation, then I would recommend a town hotel like Merica or Midland hotels. If with accommodation, then Sarova Lion Hill will be the ultimate choice for a more of privacy and comfort.
