...expensive so I am asking for advice for affordable areas. As for work, I believe the economy to be quite difficult in most of the world right now. I am not an executive so I am hoping to obtain a working visa possibly through language school or something. I would appreciate any other ideas for employment. This is a decision I made to follow my passion of Italy. I have traveled there a few times., I just want help in doing it the easiest and cheapest way. Thank you!!!

Hi Zeno,

Your name reminds me of the great Italian writer Italo Svevo.
I would suggest to contact the American consulate in Florence and seek for their advice first, then check a list of American companies who have operations in the Tuscany/Florence area, and last to keep your finger crossed:-)
Good luck and I'm sure you'll made it to Italy!
BTW have you thought about relocating to Le Marche...cheaper and less crowded?
Best of luck

Thank you George,
I didn't know there was an advantage being a native English speaker. I will definitely use it. I am grateful.
