Dar es Salaam generally has beautiful beaches, The coastine is extensive. Perhaps you can check out a place called Slipway located at the Msasani Peninsula. It has almost everything from a hotel, shops, restaurants, supermarket, hair salon, internet cafe, bureau de change, beach, etc. There are also boat cruises to the nearby bongoyo island where you can go snorkeling. Enjoy!

Ras Kutani is very nice Beach with white sands and not crowded with people. It is located 30 kms south of DAR. Price is affordable.
Bagamoyo is located 45 kms north of Dar and has very nice white sand beach and secluded. price is also cheap.
In Dar we suggest hotel white sand and we suggest kigamboni beaches.

there are two main areas with nice beaches in dar-es-salaam , msasani peninsula which is the north coast and is generally more built up with a whole range of diffrent hotels and lodges to meet every travellers needs.
Here I would recommend the kunduchi beach hotel, with a glorious white sand beach as well scheduled day time trips to the more secluded bunda island.
But by far and away the best beaches in dar are on the south coast namely kipepeo beach and mikadi beach, both beaches have backpackers huts were you can spend a night over for very reasonable rates, often less than $10.

Amaizing we have lots of beaches here but one that i truly like is Kipepeo,.it is so good!with good sand!
