It totally depends if you want to be around people or somewhere quite and away from it all. My wife and I like a little of both, if you want some night life but not night clubs then we find that Nesbur on the Black Sea is just perfect, it has the history of the old town and is not to busy in the day time, in the evening it comes alive with all the restaurants and the market place throughout the streets of the old town, it has a great atmosphere in the evenings. If you really want to relax with just peace and quite then Jeravna a traditional style village in the mountains is the place to be, we should know as we own a house there that is over 200 years old. The village is wonderful for artists, photography, fishing and walking in the mountains, the place is magical and very beautiful. Black Sea - South of Burgas area has many non tourist quiet beaches. Very nice in summer, not much there in Winter. The sea and sand is beautiful.
Veliko Tarnavo - Albanasi, is an amazing old village just 5km from Veliko Tarnavo, the old Capitol. The village is in the hills, and very quiet... I couldnt sleep the first night because the was no noise and I could hear my brain ticking. Veliko Tarnavo very nice city if you get tired of the quiet.
Rila Mountains - very fresh air, great walks, Monasteries, traditional culture, more difficult to get to but worth it.

for me i like swimming, beauty salon, going to shopping mall, going to a movie, having lunch and dinner at my favorite restourant, and then stay in the 5 star hotel, the most important thing it's me time!
