Everything in Europe not just Germany is in EUROS

The currencies in Europe pretty much all switched to the Euro around 2002. The states that use the Euro are known collectively as the Eurozone: Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Spain.
So this makes it easier to travel from country to country without have to take the losses at the exchange offices every time you cross a border.
It is now like traveling from state to state in the USA, although there are price differences between the countries on a variety of products and food.
I hope this helps.
If you have any old currencies you might still be able to exchange them in certain banks within the respective country, just don't let them tell it has no value. Some people still collect them and it will have a value to them.
I hope this helps.

Hi,
Everything is paid in Euros (Germany, France, etc.) However note, in UK they still stick to Pounds.
Greetings,

Like Erica Haas said, occasionally there are promotions for things where they'll take marks, but in general it's Euros only. At this point the older coins are for coin collectors, I've got pesetas with Franco on them...it's not going anywhere, no one will take it.

Hello.
Germany and France changed to the Euro on 1 January 2002hence you must use the euro everywhere in both countries. I am afraid that any of these counties old currencies are no longer accepted in thier shops. Also unlike some countries in places such as Africa and the Arab states, they do not accept the dollar as currancy anywhere.

This link will give you a little more information about where else in Europe the Euro is use. It is in fact becoming the most important world currency, challenging the dollar particularly at the moment.
Hope this helps

The Euro is spread around since 2002 in the entire Europa. You might find a lover of old money but no way to pay with. You´re welcome.

Actually, there is one exception to the euro instead of franc/mark thing: occasionally at a fair or market, you will see people with signs up, stating that they will take francs or marks.
