Hi Derek

Hope you like your stay in Egypt

I think the best way ralation money service will be the collective micro bus ( El Mecrobus ) as we call it.

You must take one from 6 Oct. to Tahrir or Ramsis Square and than change to another one to Abbasya Bus station.

I do not know the price exsactly but i do not think this will be more than 7 pounds for both Micro Bus.

Also you can take a Micro bus to Giza station and then there is air conditioned public buses from Giza to Abassya , i know this bus the last one is about 2 or 3 pounds.

Take in consideration that depending on what time you decide to do this trip it can be something like 2 hours + or -

Enjoy your time

Jack

Hello Derek
You can find the easiest & cheaper way by combining all local means of transpositions, you can first take Micro bus which you'll find a lot in 6th October
till the Giza subway station ,you buy ticket till Ramses station, when you reach
Ramses you can take either a micro bus or a any bus going to Abbasi station.

Hi Derek - you have lots of answers from the locals here. Do you have any Arabic and are you comfortable taking a microbus? I find the micro and local buses a bit daunting sometimes - the loud and fast Arabic - the hand signals that have a meaning for a particular destination :-) and the buses that don't stop completely to let you on and off :-) But there's no doubt a microbus is the cheapest

Good luck :-)
