It comes down your style and type of entertainment. Montego Bay is usually great for most of the year, but summer is usually most active. Truth be told, late September to November are usually rainy, but all inclusive resorts usually provide adequate entertainment for that period.

Summer is hot and so lot of persons are usually about for water based activities.

There are usually a lot of parties for summer as well. In fact I usually put out a party calendar ever summer to accommodate the many parties that are held, which include of course reggae sumfest.

Summer is the best time. There is SumFest (Annual Jamaican reggae festival). It is normally held the last week of July. Some of featured "nights" are Dance Hall Night, Oldies Night, International Night etc. Please visit www.reggaesumfest.com for more details. When you stop by for Sumfest, in the day you can stop by Doctor's Cave Beach and go jet skiing and or parasailing. You can even go on a canopy tour adventure thru "Exclusive Holidays" - http://www.exclusiveholidays-ja.com/excursions.htm. If you want a more "mellow vibe", you can lie on the beach, go the spa at Sandals, dine at the Brewery, Marguerites, Pork Pit or at Scotchie's. But you want to party, stay a few days more to enjoy ATI (Absolute Temptation Isle)and or RTI (Red Stripe Temptation Isle) in Negril!

The best Season to Visit Montego Bay is usually the summer for the following reasons
1. Rates are generally lower in the hotels
2. You have a number of shows such as Reggae Sumfest, Independence Festival related events and a number of summer parties.
3. Attractions are usually not as crowded (Absolute best for this is Fall Season)
4. More sun.

The Downside to summer travel though is the risk of Hurricanes.

This aside the biggest advantage would be the savings on rates.

Montego Bay can be visited at all times of the year. However we have our rainy seasons in April and again within the Hurricane Season. All different festivities are held all throughout the year so there is always something to be seen and done to enjoy oneself

The best season is summer, since then you will have a variety of parties and other events to attend. You will have famous parties such as ATI and RTI which i'm sure your hotel will provide transportation to. Also the summer offers the best beach days since the rainy season is off. hHope you visit soon.

Best Season is usually spring to summer, where the weather is not too hot nor is it in the rainy season that miht dampen travel plans. Also, its a good season if you plan on taking part in seasonal festivities, e.g carnival

It depends on what you wish to do. There are major concerts all year long. There is Rebel Salute in January, Reggae Sumfest and Reggae Sunsplash in summer, Jamaica Carnival the week after Easter, Sting at the Christmas season, Genesis at Christmas to New year season for those christians, Fun in the Son around spring, Spring Break in Negril. It depends on where you wish to go what you wish to do.

The summer period would be best because the weather is perfect at that time of year, hotel rates are more reasonable, there is Sumfest which is biggest Reggae show and highly anticipated by many visitors to our island. Spring is a good time to visit as well with the Spring Break period, there are several schedule events in Montego Bay, Negril and Ocho Rios for the weekend.

The assumption is that vacation is the main reason but if you look into your budget and you primary purpose you might just prefer the of season the in between the end and the beginning of summer.

Theending of the Winter Tourist Season and tbe beginning of Spring Break is real good, because Jamaica tend to focus more on rates i Negril so the rates in Mobay drops beacuse spring breakers prefers Negril

The weather is always great here in Jamaica and the hip strip in Montego Bay, Jamaica is always buzzing. For me, anytime for visiting Montego Bay is great, all you need is your reservation, however, if you truly love reggae music, the heart beat of our nation, summer time is best. There is the festival, Reggae Sumfest in July each year.

Montego Bay is at its best at the time of the annual Reggae Sumfest music festival, when the whole town becomes a week-long party. Book early, or you will have to sleep as far away as Negril or Ocho Rios.
