If you are a Nature Tourist or admirer, it is obvious that Calabar is your best bet!

Calabar has an annual rainfall of 106ins, this means that Calabar has the highest rainfall in Nigeria. Obudu Ranch which is more than 7,000 ft above sea level.

The weather here has been compared to a typical December month in London. The difference is that this weather remains the same throughout the year.

Places of interest are: the OBUDU Ranch, a.k.a. Obudu Mountain Resort, Obanliku LGA of Cross River State, Nigeria;

Tinapa (http://www.tinapa.com) whose complex will provide international standard wholesale emporiums, integrated shopping complexes and product distribution elements supported by business tourism and entertainment facilities.

Cross River National Park which houses a few Gorilla who are natives of the Calabar/Cameroun forest. Take a bus or taxi to Ikom as you pass through these towns, Akampa, Ugep, stop in all these towns find out what and what they are noted for.

The Drill Monkey Rehab Centre is on Ndidem Nsang Iso Road and hidden behind the Jahas Guest House. It was set up by two overlanders from the USA who were biologists back home but who were persuaded by the Nigerian Government to stay in Nigeria and look after the endangered Drill Monkeys which were traditionally hunted and eaten in the Afi Mountain range that borders Cameroon etc.

If you are only concerned with five to seven star hotel extravagance, comfort and luxury extra-ordinaire, Lagos or Abuja may be your options.

Lagos e.g. Eko Hotels and Suites in Victoria Island if your want Liveliness or Abuja if you want a serene, solitude or quiet environment.

Calabar still remains your best choice because you get all that with all the Blessings of nature and Hospitality.

The Calabar people are Naturally Hospitable.

That would be Cross-River State. Two places of attraction there would be Obudu Cattle ranch and Calabar, the capital city.
