Zia Malik has a good advise, or you can take wagon from Sadar. Hotel price varies, however, be careful, not to land in the hands of cheaters, bargain well and try to stay in the main street of Murree, from murree you can go to places you desire. There are suziki and frod wagons for Ayubia, Nathiagali, etc. Also to Bhurban and see PC hotel a novelty in the mountains. Bon voyage.

Reach to Faizabad/Daewoo bus stand at Peshawar Road from Railway station RWP and take local public van to Murree. For hotels, better to reach there and see the standard of each hotel personally. Normally rooms are starting from PKR 500 to PKR 30000 per night, no problem at all to find hotel in murree, of course the cheaper hotels mostely based at Mall Road and you can day excursion to Nathia Gali, Patriata, Ayubia OR each galies.

MURREE IS ALSO KNOWN AS QUEEN OF HILLS AND ITS A GOOD PLACE TO VISIT DURING SUMMER DAYS , WELL STAYING IN MURREE IS NO BIG DEAL YOU WILL GET A ROOM OF YOUR CHOICE IN ANY AREA BUT GOOD THING IS THAT YOU REACH MURREE EARLY IN THE MORNING AND GET BOOKING FOR ANY ROOM GENERALLY AFTER 4 O CLOCK THE RATES ARE DIFFERENT . . . . . .

Ayubia is a good place to see. Also there is a place 'Patriyata', I recommend you to go there as you will find chair and cable lift there too. Ayubia is at maximum height so the weather will be chilled there.

Well dear, so far you have got good suggestions. It will be very hard to meet your told budget at a good place because at main Mall Road the rates vary from Rs. 1500 to 3500 or even more depending on the simple demand and supply rule. To find a cheaper place go as far as you can from the centre i.e. GPO Chowk, offcourse the rates i mentioned are for the hotels near GPO Chowk. Daewoo is the best option but to go economical I suggest you to go by wagon which you can find from different places.

My goodness ! you are willing to pay only 400 rupees. I think it is too small a money to rent a room. May be you bring a tent with you to stay inside man. Murree is not a cheap place now and a man with a family gets a reasonable room at minimum of 1000 rupees.

My suggestion to you is please change to Naran instead of going to Murree, From Railway station take a Taxi and Drive to Flash men’s Hotel, and Take a PTDC Bus the bus ticket is 800 per Person, the Bus departs at 0800 am every day the drive is long but beautiful journey via Abbottabad and Balakot, in the afternoon around 04pm you will reach Naran, there is camping site : Himalayan Holidays” it will cost you Rs 400 per night the tent’s are very good European made with all good facilities, your family will love it, from there you can go for day excursion to Lake Saifulmaluk, Lake Lulusar Babusar and Lalazar
