Antofagasta?

My wife and I will be in Chile for about 8 days in late May to exlore different areas of the country in preparation for relocating with our children later this year or early next year. We are thinking about checking out Antofagasta - just wondering where we can find detailed information on different neighborhoods, housing rentals, schools, cost of living, etc. Just general guidance on the area would be most helpful. You can check for house and apartment rentals in http://www.portalinmobiliario.cl/
I have been to the city just a couple of times, so I can not give you a full personal opinion on it, but I have been told that the south side of the city is the best place to live, specially the "Jardines del Sur" neighbourhood.
