We are a tour operator lookign for a campsite for our group to stay in somewhere in the Valle de Chota.

The group is travelling by overland vehicle (ours) from Popoyan via Ipiales and Tulcan and will need need somewhere to pitch 9 tents plus a cook tent. If you know of any suiting camping sites can you please advise me. Regards, Bec Tucan Travel

Hi, were also a tour company, doing bike tours all over Ecuador,
our experiance is that in the Chota valley we prefer to rent a space in one of the gardens of the many tourist complexes, toilets, pools, restaurants and safety, if you wish a bit more natural i suggest you continue to the lake quicotcha, we have putted up our tents there several times and no problems.
