First of all, Horcon is kind of hippie so it is not so expensive. There are mainly cabins wich are usually rented for weekends for US$50 or less, even US$10 per day. You can check http://www.caletahorcon.cl/turismo/alojamiento/turismo_alojamiento_cabanas.htm

You should know that a new department in Santiago, for 1 person, located uptown, may cost US$500 for one month, so you you shouldn't pay more than that in Horcon, for one month.

You can rent a house in Horcón for about US$ 50 a day. Also you can obtain a better price if you are going to stay for a long time.
