Lagos Nigeria is the most populous conurbation in Nigeria with 7,937,932 inhabitants at the 2006 census.
It is currently the second most populous city in Africa, and currently estimated to be the second fastest growing city in Africa (7th fastest in the world), immediately following Bamako. Formerly the capital of Nigeria, Lagos is a huge metropolis which originated on islands separated by creeks, such as Lagos Island, that fringe the southwest mouth of Lagos Lagoon, protected from the Atlantic Ocean by long sand spits such as Bar Beach which stretch up to 100 km east and west of the mouth. From the beginning, Lagos has spread on the mainland west of the lagoon and the conurbation, including Ikeja and Agege, now reaches more than 40 km north-west of Lagos Island. Tourism

Sights in Lagos include the National Museum on Lagos Island (a fine but somewhat neglected collection of West African art), the Iga Idunganran (Palace of the Oba of Lagos), old Portuguese-style houses from the early 20th century and the modern National Theater.

Upscale residential neighborhoods such as Victoria Island house Lagos' best shops and restaurants, and South African-built shopping malls with cinema complexes are becoming popular, though there are lively, less-expensive markets throughout the city. The safest (and cleanest) beach around Lagos is at Tarkwa Bay. There, you can watch the many hundreds of oil tankers line up to get into Lagos Harbor. Lagos is blessed with a number of sandy beaches by the Atlantic ocean. Two of the popular beaches includes Bar Beach and Lekki Beach.


The old slave port of Badagry is an easy day excursion from Lagos and has some interesting, though somber, museums dedicated to the slave trade. There on a sand bar is the Point of No Return—the last spot of African soil slaves stood on before being transported to the slave ships.
Day trips to Ibadan and other southwestern cities are also possible.

Lagos has a variety of hotels ranging from three star to five star hotels. Visitors are mostly attracted to Nigeria's rich culture, entertainment scenes and vitality which Lagos city offers. Tourist attractions include Oba's Palace, the National Museum, Afrika Shrine, Silverbird Galleria, Palm Shopping Mall, the beach resorts, NCF and many more.

hullo.would love to have a clearer picture of what you want exactly because i actually reside in lagos and the best tourism sites are outside lagos in neighbouring states although there are interesting historical sites found in lagos
so if i had an idea of what your budget was like,i could come up with an itinery having all you asked for.the thing is,in lagos,hotel rates vary but i should able to get you a nice hotel for a reasonable rate.thank you

Have to say that there are various options to choose from based on your preferences. For that you have to be more specific in the type of experience you'd like to take back with you from Nigeria. For instance do you plan on sight-seeing outside your preferred town of stay or just within. Also where would you like to stay, Lagos, Abuja, Calabar, take your pick as there's quite a variety of places to visit. Nigeria is a huge country with diverse offerings.

This package will include all expense that will be incured during there stay and im going to make it a memoriable one,cause im going to pick them from the airport and lodge them in a securied 3 star hotel probably in lagos or if they choose to go to any other state in nigeria and also take care of there feeding.Then take them to some intersting places in lagos like silverbird gal,bar beach,museum,some recreation centers,cinemas, tourist center, zoo in and outside lagos,shopping malls etc. infact i will make there stay a memoriable one for them for $5000 each through out there stay in nigeria.

Aside other values I'll add to your time in Nigeria, I'll ask for $700 for one person per day - this covers hotel accomodation in a 3 Star hotel, taxi service, visits to beaches and clubs, security and tours.

Please provide a little more detail. Where do you want to go? What sort of activities are you looking at? Where are you arriving - Lagos, Port Harcourt, abuja? Are you willing to travel? I would advice protea hotels because in my opinion they have the best services and facilities in the country. Room rates go for about $250 to $300 dollars depending on the exchange rate at the moment. Transportation costs about $170 to $200/day also depending on prevailent exchange rates.
