for hammams , tunis is the well knon city for it, and actually all the ancient cities like bizerte,sfax,zaghouan and others have the same quality of hammams.for sousse and akouda ,i don have great knowledge, but yu should ask for a taxi to ride yu to there,i.e.down town, then ask people to give yu directions.

1. No woman goes alone somewhere to a hammam
the one in hammam sousse is called gharbi, there is another one in the slim center in sousse town!
all other hammams in this aerea are not in a condition for w european standards if you are not used to it.
there are very good hammas and thalassotherapy places in Tunisia

hello Anne , I am also inclined to say that the standards of hygene and confort that u r used to are not guaranteed in a local traditional hammam , but if you say u have already visited one 5 years ago then you dseem familiar with it , concerning this²particular hammam in hammam sousse I dont know about it cos I live in tunis , but I will ask arround to see if any of my friends know about it or any other hamma good to be visited , I must say in the end that the hammam is an unforgetable experience for people who dont knwo it :) , I will come back on this soon promise .

soory really i don't heared about it but it lookes like hydrothermal hammam. but if you want a advise i can tell you that it's better to travel either to KORBOS in the CAP BON area -NABEUL- or to EL HAMMA in the south - GABES - also in HAMMAM ZRIBA near to - ZAGOUAN - where you can find all what you want specially relax massages, talasso..

hi, the most popular and tradionnal hammam in tunisia is hammam ZRIBA in Zaghouan city near from Tunis but if you want to go to the hammam in Akouda you can take a bus or sale a car from TAFFELA car station in sousse and when you arrive it you answer anyone for hammam ;)
