Transportation around WA
Web
Hi, I am planning on spending about 10 days in WA in July or so this summer. I have pretty much an idea of all that I want to do, but I am running into a slight bump in the road... I was hoping to rent a car once I arrived, but most rent-a-car companies do not rent out vehicles to those under the age of 21. Therefore, I'm a little stuck on how I'm going to get around the state of WA. So here's my question: Is there perhaps a way around that? Or do you have any other suggestions for me so that I can have the mobility to drive around the state at my own leisure? What do you suggest? Please get back to me when you get a chance, you can either contact me here, or by my email: abbyshronce@hotmail.com. Thanks so much!! -Sofia

Hi,
Sorry, your question got to me--I'm actually outside Washington, D.C., not the state. I have visited a small part of Washington state. You are going to have a blast--it is so beautiful there! The mountains are huge.
As for getting around, I'd look for the local and regional bus systems for answers. Good luck and have fun!

Hey Sofia, the Public Transport System in the W Dc Area is Superb so you wont have any trouble getting around. The Metro Buses and Subway are perfect and easy to use. Also Barwood Cabs are easy to get and always a phone call away, fast service and cost effective.
For longer travels outside the state, the Grey Hound is always there.
Enjoy during your stay !
