No! It is a sovereign country. But it is surrounded by South Africa on all sides. On the West it is the Free State Province, South Eastern Cape Province and South East Kwazulu Natal Province.

It is a country about the size of Belgium, but, the mountain scenery and beauty is like that of Switzerland. It is interesting that it is a country where there is skiing in Africa. It has the altitude that makes it Malaria FREE, with pristine environment that has clean water.

Lesotho is a landlocked independent kingdom, surrounded by South Africa. It has about 1.8 million people.
