Hi I would like to go to Ha Noi in October. I need home stay with Internet. I would like to visit every area of Ha Noi and also other provinces such as Ha Long Bay and I also need hill trip. Best regards Joe

Seem very long until you come Hanoi in October. But dont worry much. We can introduce to you more place in Hanoi, province, Halong Bay, Sapa mountain, Haiphong city...etc. Better if you use bus or motor to go around, will cheap and more interesting. A lot of traditional foods will wait for you try.. normally if you go alone, maybe you wont know how to paid for what you use. As vietnamese friend go together will help you save cost. Each day about 30-40$ for food, drive motor-bike, and buy some gift. Of course if you go to bar, club then it not like that thing above..

Why would u like to go to Ha Noi in Oct? why not Ho Chi Minh city? Because in Oct Ha Noi is getting into winter,it's wet n cold out there.
Ho Chi Minh is much more comfortable.

A homestay with internet is possible for about 300 $. Daily expences wil be around
40 $ incl traveling in Hanoi. Trips to Halong Bay and other areas you can arange at many travel agancies. Be careful! There are a lot of fake travel agancies and a lot don't give you where you pay for. Different accomodatie, no arcon, over crowded boats, short rides for example when you book a trip to Halong Bay!

1 month could be enough to travel all around Vietnam if you well-planed. Dont need to just stay at Hanoi. But you could start from Hanoi, go around the Northern Area, then move the Middle Part of VN then Southern. I am working at Hanoi now. If you wanna a room to stay with internet. Hi Joe. Home stay is not a bad idea. But not many families in Vietnam can talk with you in English. So you should choose which family can talk and share about culture with you. Tell me more about your need and I think I can help you find one suitable family among my friends' ones.
Regarding guiding you in Hanoi, it's not so complicated. Even we can show you the way to discover Hanoi yourself. My group consist of mainly students so price is not the problem.

It quite depends on your budget. Normally, it is around 35usd. To do something like local it is cheaper.
There is a good way to do everything is to book short trips with travel agencies in Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh city. For example, tour to Halong bay with only 42usd for 2 days, tour to Sapa is around 85usd for 3days, so you pay less by this way

i show you a place to stay and visit around Ha Noi. Ha Noi is not familiar with homestay for guest like some another province. But you can choose a small hotel. Ha Noi view Hotel (it is located in the old quarter of Ha Noi), with best price: 10 usd/night and internet. My customer from abroad or another province come to Ha Noi to take my tour to Sapa usally stay here to Visit Ha Long then relax here until they get on train to visit another places. You need to stay at a 2stars hotel. THat would be cheap price about 20US$/night. Or more with 3stars, 30US$/night.
