Web

I AM PLANNING IN TAKING ADVANCE KITEBOARDING COURSE IN CAP TOWN. I NEED SUGGESTION FOR THE BEST KITESURFING SPOTS IN CAP TOWN. I LEARNED THAT LANGABAAN PROBABLY THE BEST BECAUSE OF THE FLAT WATER, BUT IT IS A BIT FAR THAN CAP TOWN. ANY SUGGESTION. I ALSO HAVE SOME CONCERNED ABOUT THE SECURITY. IS IT A SAFE PLACE. WE DON'T HAVE DIRECT FLIGHT TO CAP TOWN, EITHER THRU JOHANSBURG OR I COULD FLY TO DUBAI AND THEN FLY DIRECT TO CAP TOWN. I HEARD THAT JOHNSBURG IS REALLY UNSAFE PLACE. SO EVEN IF I HAVE TO FLY TO JOHANSBURG I WOULD NOT LIKE TO STAY OVERNIGHT, I WOULD RATHER CATCH A FLIGHT TO CAP TOWN ON THE SAME DAY OF ARRIVAL. SO COULD YOU PLEASE HELP ME

I'll try and answer your questions and concerns in numerical order:
1. Langebaan is probably not the best place. There are at least three better places; Muizenberg where the wind is good but not too strong, Soetwater where you get strong wave action for the spectacular jumps and Bloubergstrand where conditions are near perfect most of the time. Set in a bay with winds from the right direction, Blouberg is 14km from Cape Town.
2. Johannesburg is no more or less unsafe than most big cities in the world. It is not a war zone as many people would like you to believe. Having said that, it's easier flying direct to Cape Town from Dubai because you arrive in the morning. There are many domestic flights from Johannesburg to Cape Town so you shouldn't have to spend extra on overnight accommodation, but it can be quite a long connection at times. Flying to Cape Town from Johannesburg is two hours.

As answered by Energy Tours, thank you for the information supplied to his wuery, looking at the web their information is spot on and accurate.

Regarding the comment about Johannesburg, thank you Cape Town is as unsafe as Johannesburg, or New York or any other Major City where you have an influx of tourists walking around late at night and going into the wrong areas. Is is great that the war between the two cities ie Cape Town & Johannesburg does not try and prejudice our overseas visitors. Thank you Energy Tours.
