Lagos, as I speak, is a Conurbation (A conurbation is an urban area or agglomeration comprising a number of cities, large towns and larger urban areas that, through population growth and physical expansion, have merged to form one continuous urban and industrially developed area. In most cases, a conurbation is a polycentric agglomeration, in which transportation has developed to link areas to create a single urban labour market or travel to work area).
Lagos now is also a fast moving ICT (Information & Communication Technology) center where almost every business transaction has, or is about to have it's own electronic transaction system.
There is so much infrastructural development even on the roads which amounts to some more traffic congestion but the areas where these have been completed are a delight.
The present governor is committed to socio-economic development for the populace and the environment is well sanitized. The monthly 'environmental sanitation' exercise has been re-introduced and with the PSP (Private Sector Participation) Initiative, there is a highly organized waste disposal system.
Private companies now have Cinemas, Malls and Organized transport systems alongside that of the state and even the National Theater has been tooshed up!
The New MMA2 (Murtala Muhammed Airport II) is another state of the art facility that applauds the level of development in the state but the fact remains that other regions in the country have also developed Rapidly.
An Example is the Newly installed International Airport in Uyo, Akwa-Ibom state, Nigeria, the TINAPA facility in Calabar, etc.
