Yes, Malaga can be visited in December! Of course you might have some rain and damp weather, but also sunshine and nice days. Malaga city has got lots of attractions, the cathedral is amazing, walking the "alcazaba" all the way up to the mirador on the top is fantastic, the Picasso museum is interesting, shopping and eating out is very good. Hostal Victoria is nice and clean in the heart of the city for a good price. Wish you a pleasant stay!

Málaga is known in Spain as "Costa del Sol" (Sunny Coast) due to its good weather during the whole year. About things you can do there...don't forget to eat "Pescadito frito" in a typical "chiringuito". You have to take a walk along Lario's street, go to drink Mojitos in La Plaza de la Merced, go alternative shopping in Granada Street and have some drinks at "Pinpi".
You have also cultural plans like visiting CAT (Centro de Arte Contemporáneo) or Picasso's house.

Enjoy your stay in Málaga!
