There are plenty of wonderful markets all around the city. On the actual day you could check out a Church service at the Cathedral in the Born or the Gothic quarters or even see the Sagrada Familia but it closes at 2pm on the 25th.

Do you mean on Dec 25th, or just around the Christmas season?

In my blog I have several posts on Christmas. These ones might be useful:

http://foreverbarcelona.blogspot.com/2008/12/christmas-like-local-part-two-christmas.html

On the 25th most tourist sites are open until 2pm, but in the afternoon everything is closed. I suggest you plan outdoor activities such as walking around some park or the waterfront. Then in the evening, there are many Christmas concerts worth attending. Check at the Palau de la Música, for instance. But I strongly recomend you get tickets in advance!

There are many markets during this days like in the Sagrada Familia or next to the Cathedral .
During those days there are many concerts at the Catalan Music Palau or at the other concert halls in Barcelona.

For your reference, most museums in Barcelona are closed on Mondays [Boxing day-26th December]. A great place to visit that day which is open, is the Santa Maria del Mar church [built in 1329 and one of the best examples of Gothic architecture in existence].
