Yes, I agree that is the way to stay whilst in Marrakech.
There are budget alternatives.
We run guersthouse www.riadsaba.com which is a bit more pricy. However we have an annex whereyou can rent rooms from 60 € for a double and from 40 € for a single room.

I would recommend Riad Zehar that is ideally located and well price. Or try also the Equity Point, it is a hostel, but located in the old town and it is as a riad. You can even have your own room if you like
