How much time would one need to take the train from the airport to Central Station then take a ride on the Connexxion fest ferry hydrofoil

to Velsed and then go right back to the airport? Flight arrives at 8:30 and departure flight is at 1:45.

As you can see, I've assumed a train departure at 9am. The train platforms are right below the arrival halls at Schiphol Airport. Trains run ever 10-15mins 24/7, and take between 10 and 23 mins to Ams CS, depending on the type of train you're on. The FFF departs from right behind central station (5min walk) every half hour exactly on the half hour. The ride to Velsen-Zuid is pretty spectacular and takes you 25mins. If you meet your contact at the square called Pontplein that lies adjacent to the landing site, you *should* even be able to take the same ferry back. Ferry costs: http://tinyurl.com/FFF-tariffs .
