Hi,
Site seeing is mainly done on the outskirts of Blenheim but don't be discouraged Blenheim has got some charm.
The weather for one is brilliant.
If your looking for work November is a great time to pick up seasonal work, if not there are festivals in February, a picturesque garden - fantastic to relax in the sun and have a picnic the garden has a old clock tower and a beautiful large white fountain.
And I know its been said but I have to add the wine trails - they are best and the wine is great : )
All the best and enjoy : )
Melissa

Just north of Blenhiem are the Marlborough Sounds(Picton).Great for walking, particularly the Queen Charlotte walk to Kenepuru Sound.
Home of great Mussels that are exported all over the world.
South of Blenhiem is the salt pans at Lake Glassmere and is fascinating for the harvesting of sea salt..
And then we have Kaikoura where you will find a myriad of sea life.Seals, and whale watching.
Great scenic tour along coast.
Take some great New Zealand Marlborough Wine.

Wine, wine, wine... Do a tour through the vinyards and sample some of the best wine NZs at their cellar doors.
Visit the Marlborough Sounds. Best by kayak or water taxi...

Wine, wine, wine! (I wish I was there myself.) The best way to get around this area is to have a hire car. Or, you can get a bicycle from Blenheim and cycle from vineyard to vineyard sampling and buying the goods. The Marlborough Sounds and even further up to Able Tasman National Park are also amazing areas to explore in the region.
