Verona is a couple of hours awy by train, and there's nothing to be seen by night, so I'd suggest you to go by day, early, get back to Venice in the evening and have the rest of tha day in the lagoon city.

Too much to see for too little time, try your best, you won't be delulded anyway, however avoid to wait in huge lines to enter this or that musem, just skipt the crowded ones, is't a waste of time in your case.

Hi,
If I had only one day I'd prefer to stay in Venice.
Verona is beautiful and it deserves a visit but you can consider this option if you have more time.
Bye bye

If you are only having a night and a day in Venice you do notnhave time to do Verona as well. You are tyring to do to much and you will not see either of them!!

Verona and Venice deserve at least a couple of days each, there is so much to see. But since you are arriving in Venice spend you time in there, visit my blg www.monicacesarato.com or www.eurocheapo.com for ideas on what to do and see in one day!
