Moda in Kadıköy can effect you by its atmosphere.İt is one of the most quite place of istanbul,in evening,it will be better to walk by sea.And You can find many restaurants like Koço,Kırıntı,Beppe or Victor Levi.Moda does not have a season because nearly all season, weather is very warm and sunny.and don't forget to visit Moda harbour, while you are walking, you can watch to sea. After you pass Moda sea club, you can find some cafeteria and you can have a rest and drink a glass of tea in here while you are watching to sea of wonderful scene.

first of all if you are after history, all of Sultanahmet is a historic tour on its own and is doable on foot. Hippodrome, Hagia Sophia, Mosques, Yerebatan Cistern, Grand Bazaar are all walking distance away from each other.
You might get a tour guide if you like, who will show you around in a concise manner and give you relevant info on each monument etc. That usually costs around 100 - 200 Euros for the day (guide + driver + shuttle), i would guess that the guide only might cost around 80 for the day.

Otherwise, Bosphorus coast is a nice area to walk. In fact read the following to understand the coastline better; but to give you a little fair idea, start at Karakoy. You have there Istanbul Modern Museum and Antrepo and various art exhibitions and galleries. You can then walk or take a cab to Besiktas. That is the commercial area, but you still have Dolmabahce on your way (historic palace) and the Naval Museum at the port.
Have lunch at Besiktas (go to a meatball restaurant, I will give links below)
Then after a brief lunch, hike again until Ortakoy. On the way you will pass Cıragan Palace, Four Seasons Hotel, Feriye Restaurant (also historic building). Ortakoy is a fun area. Go in there towards its port and the Sea and have some tea or coffee..

If you still feel like walking from Ortakoy to the Rumeli Fortress is like an hour walking. But Rumeli Fortress is also full of historuy.
