Dear Xose, that can be hard in sommer because they are focused on tourists. If you speak or can read Croatian or if you have somebody to help you try on www.oglasnik.hr or maybe ask some people from University to help you in that direction. Somebody knows somebody... This last can be the best way. Unfortunatly I am not in Zadar to help more.

Beside www.oglasnik.com, I would recommend you the www.njuskalo.com where you could also try to find the apartment for a long term for you and your wife. I also have some friends who are at the moment in Zadar, but they are moving to zagreb soon and in about month or two, the apartment they are in is about to be empty. I don't know if it would be a long period for you to wait... and the quesstion is will it really be a mnth or two or even longer, so the best thing still is for you to try on those web pages that you are recommended to visit. I believe you'll find someone who will help you with the language if it is a problem for you... If you wish, I can take some time, tooand send you some apartment advertisement links...
