Lagos like most metropolitan cities is made up of a large population of diverse cultures. Like most metropolitan cities, parties are a way of interacting and relaxing after a hectic work week. night clubbing and hanging out. On weekend nights, the streets are littered with cars at various clubs, bars and hangouts. For details of where to go to you can contact me

Lagos is simply the gateway to West-Africa and the commercial capital of Nigeria. A diverse and culturally rich cosmopolitan city, she is referred to as the "Centre of Excellence. In a fortnight you can achieve a lot in business, pleasure and leisure, but you would definitely need an experienced guide/escort that can show you around in other not to be exploited and to make the most of your stay. Like most metropolitan cities globally, our etiquettes and lifestyle are no different. There are hundreds of places to experience, diverse cultures to interact with and various cuisines to savour all of which can not be listed here. Hello,
I believe it all depend on the area and location you choose to stay. Though i would recommend you stay on the Island, which are Ikoyi, victoria Island and Lekki axsis. This areas are close to the beaches and also nightclubs and shopping centers and they are remote areas.
What you should do in Lagos, i would say it all depend on the purpose of your trip, so many thing you can achieve. Business wise and tourist wise.
Protocols are normal.. is a no man's land.

If you are visiting Lagos for the first time, it is very important you have some sort of trustworthy contact or guide currently living here or atleast knows his/her way around. If you don't and still want to come anyway, you need to have the hotel you will be lodging pick you from the airport. Whatever you do, it is really important you have someone. Then you where to reside for the forthnight will not really be an issue.
If you will not have anyone however, its best you lodge in a hotel on the Island and your hotel could attach a guide to you depending on the arrangments you make with them.
There are lots of bars, clubs, resturants, beaches and any other thing you need to have a really nice vacation.
Avoid going anywhere on your own.
The people are very accommodating though and i am sure you will have a really good vacation.

Lagos is the most vibrant city in Nigeria when it comes to social activities & for two weeks you will have loads of fun! I would recommend that you stay in a hotel in Victoria Island that would give you easier access to move around as most of the fun spots which includes bars, restaurants, cinemas are in Victoria Island....For good music, nice ambience, good looking people you definitely want to see places(at nite) like Voila, a lovely bar with good ambience, caliente a fun cocktail bar with a south american vibe. During the day there are so many fantastic restaurants depending of your preferences: Portuguese, Chinese,Indian, Mexican. Lagosians are generally fun loving people, very easy to get along with & show you directions if need be.One thing you need to be aware about lagos is the Traffic!!! it can be very exhausting but above all if you are looking to having a swell time full of fun & relaxing two weeks....Lagos is definitely the place to be!

Hi Gary,
Well what can i say about my state lagos, well its a fun and vibrant place to visit and there are a lot of comfortable hotels to stay in located in prime areas such as victoria island, ikoyi and ikeja.Asides from the numerous beaches and nightclubs which are situated in the aforementioned areas, where you might want to visit depends on what you like to do,i would recommend anyone coming to lagos for the first time and ready to experience lagos life firsthand to visit our local markets, historical slave trade sites at badagry(one of our beaches) and even local bars apart from the classy ones if one wants to experince the local flavour that is lagos.
Places to avoid...well with a very good guide,he or she would ensure that wherever you go,you would be safe because the funny thing is that most local touts that one might encounter in areas like oshodi when spoken to can be very nice and acommadating and i kid you not!Karaoke bars, night clubs,restaurants...well victoria island offers an array of both foreign and local restaurants and the former,as i mentioned earlier it depends on what you want to do.
If i can be of any further assistance to you,you can contact me on 07031984341.
Have a nice trip.
Cheers

Hi Gary: What are your interests? Check out timeout Lagos and that would give you and idea of whats happening in Lagos while you are here and some costs. First hint is to have someone you trust pick you up at the airport. Also limit ur credit card usage to your hotel. everywhere else use cash. In Lagos, you survive on attitude and knowledge. Kick ass politely and get your information right. If you need help, call me on 234 8082547555. Enjoy Lagos!!

Gary, coming into Lagos, you can get taxis from the airport (tipping isnt a taboo). Do not allow anyone u do not know handle your bags. U can go to the cinemas on Victoria Island or Yaba, u can shop at Victoria Island, Ikeja, Surulere, Lekki (just so many places). And try to taste some of our food (at ur hotel or at a fast food restaurant). Be very careful if at all u wanna patronize any roadside seller of anything.

Lagos is big place and bubbling with loads of activities, clubs, hotels and many more interesting and fun places to be in.
Lagos is now turning into a first class world city, if its not already one with the developmental strides being projected by the current administration.
So, there are no much areas to be avoided in Lagos right now. Getting there and from the air port to the hotel you like to stay, its all fun all way.
Welcome to Lagos.
