Barra da Tijuca beach has a total of 27.3 kilometers of beach , it is a famous and charming beach , it is located southwest of the city on the Atlantic Ocean and has the most beautiful sunset that I´ve ever seen , people who go to this beach are beautiful you see girls using their small dental floss bikini , from the beach you can see many mountains , luxury condos with the hight society of Rio de Janeiro , the neighborhood has an american influenced lifestyle , you see people doing sports like surfing , kite surfing and body boarding , also people walking and biking the neighborhood is considered one of the richiest in the country and very safe too .

It is not famous like Copacabana or Ipanema but it shows the unique carioca style to all visitors. Barra da Tijuca is one of the beaches I always go. I take my family and friends to spend all day there! So many things to do, you will be amazing! I love my Rio de Janeiro.

The newest district in Rio de Janeiro.
The continuation of the south zone, in therms of profile is Copacabana, Ipanema, Leblon, São Conrado and Barra da Tijuca in a row.
18km long beach and 18 km long lagoons paralel to the shore.
Nice night life, nice restaurants and nice shoppings centers.
Carioca (locals in Rio) when can afford, move to Barra da Tijuca.
A life style the make this place growing so fast.

This is a very popular and long beach in Rio. Even better than Copacabana and Ipanema as to the bigger aves and mostly locals there. The whole area is up-market and very well developed, just 20 minutes away from Ipanema beach. There you also find the biggest shopping mall in South America.

BARRA DA TIJUCA BEACH PLACE,is one of the wonderful places in all town.
about 50 minutes from copacabana beach you will find grace and peace of mind.
beautiful condominiuns bildings and nice malls around all harbor place.
surf and kitesurf are the prefered to locals.
