This is a WW1 / 2 military museum. The museum itself marked here on the map is small but very interesting. The greatest thing about the museum is that it has an 'outside section' which extends from Svdink to the Polish Border at Vysna Polianka.
At the border there is a lookout tower from where you can see around the Dukla Pass where the Russians first broke through the German lines in WW2. There are Tanks and Planes and Guns in the fields where you can touch and feel (and climb if you are a kid!) .. these are positioned in some of the actual battle sites. There are also 'Bunkers' which were sniper points. Very exiting stuff for the kids and the likes of which you won't find in the UK.
All in all a top place and a full day out if you want it to be.
There is also the Ruthenian-Ukranian Cultural Museum in Svidnik, as well as one of the best Skanzens in Slovakia... this is an old village made from real reconstructed original buildings so you can get a feel of the real life of a traditional Slavic village of pld.
