Don't miss to visit this place, but not just to go there. Please, read about historical point of it, when was built the first one, the things about crashing down and building it again a few years after.
The best place to see Belgrade as on your hand.

Avala is a mountain very close to Belgrade. Not very high, this mountain of volcanic origin is only 511 meters tall but it is very popular as a place where you can hide from busy city life and enjoy green forrests and fresh air. Once you get there, you should visit two sights. First, it is a Thomb of an Unknown Soldier built in 1930s and the other is famous TV tower which was destroyed in bombing 1999 and completely rebuilt now. You can use an elevator and have a wonderful view from tower.

The Tv tower was until '99. Nato bombardment one of the symbols of Belgrade. After demolishion 10 years were collected financial means to rebuild it.
Today it's renewed. Its height of 124m is again must visit attraction in the vicinity of the serbian capital.
There is popular picnic zone. Up on the Avala tower You can enjoy your favorite drink, or food.
If You just want to see Belgrade on the palm :) You should prepare 50 €cents to reach the 124th m and relax at the top with beautiful panorama.

Like a felix bird that rises from ashes, Avala tower has been built upon the rubble of the old tower(that was built in 1965,after a 5year construction), that has been destroyed on 29th of april in 1999.. This amaizing, one of a kind structure stands on top of Avala hill near Belgrade. It was reconstructed as one of landmarks of Belgrade, and now has reclaimed the title of the tallest structure in Balkans.

Located on Avala mountain near Belgrade, Serbia. It was destroyed in NATO bombardment of Serbia on 29 April 1999. On 21 December 2006, the reconstruction of Avala Tower commenced and was finished on 22 October 2009. It is currently the tallest structure in Serbia and the Balkan region.
Great place for family picnic and nice walking
