Aldevinco as I have known it has been a tourist destination where you can buy souvenir items from Davao City. Situated right at the heart of the city, so it is very much accessible not to mention that the Marco Polo Hotel is just right across the street. You can buy here local pearls or native necklaces made by some muslims and the batik (cloth) and shirts with Davao prints.you can also buy here some antique jars. I must say that to shop here will be a lot of fun for tourists because you will know most likely the culture of the people here in Davao. There are also restaurants at the back where you can dine with our favorite fruit here, the Durian. They say it tastes like heaven but smells like hell. It will be worth a try.

Aldevinco Shopping Center is a famous place for tour guides to bring their foreign friends. It is an arcade that is just directly across a five star hotel and in the right across is the no. 1 university in Davao City. Almost each cubicle sell Filipino native souvenirs like clothes, pashmita or shawl. Lady ornaments are salable here. Antiques are also sold here. If a foreign client is out of Peso currency, one may change it inside. There are "money changers" ready to serve. And if in-case one is doubtful, then banks are just nearby.
