Pidurutalagala (Sinhala: පිදුරුතලාගල, pronounced [ˌpidurutaˈlaːɡələ], Straw Plateau Rock),
or Mount Pedro is a 2,524-metre (8,281 ft) high mountain in the central highlands of Sri Lanka, close to the city of Nuwara Eliya. At this height, it stands as the tallest point in the country, and ranks as an Ultra prominent peak. The peak is currently occupied by security forces of the country as a military base, and is closed to the general public.
