One of the most important buildings on the trace of the alchemists that worked in our country in the late 19th century. Piria found in this area a very important source of stones that were freighted to Montevideo and used for the Piriapolis city building. Stones are energy themselves so this was a highly rich ground for Piria's search.
Francisco Piria was the founder of the city of Piriapolis (named that way after his own name). This castle, which used to be his holiday residence, is quite near the city. The location of the castle was not at random.... they say there is some special cosmic energy there!
After Piria's death the castle was robbed but you can still see furniture and china which belonged, not to this residence, but to his hotels.
