A wonderful place to enjoy the classic kind of summer town. Punta del Este has modern buildings, good hotels and most services and conveniences one could possibly ask for.
Not far from Argentina, one can always get to Punta del Este from Buenos Aires just to spend a weekend, or stay there from monday through wednesday with not much tourists around and then get back to Buenos Aires were many activities are better from thursday through saturday
and get some rest on sunday, or back to the beach :-)

The most exclusive seaside resort in Latin America, it combines high-end shopping, exclusive hotels and state-of-the-art buildings, an exciting nightlife with a natural, exuberant beauty, sunkissed beaches and spectacular natural views.
The destination of choice for most Argetinian and Brazilian jetsetters, it comprises comfort with nature, exclusivity with sun and beach.
Some of the landmarks to visit are Casa Pueblo, an art gallery and cultural center on the hill of Punta Ballena, the unique wavy bridge of La Barra, the Port, the sunny beaches of José Ignacio, the rambla and many more.
Full of activities catering the most demanding tastes, beach and maritime activities, shopping, walking, top quality restaurants and nightlife, country, more secluded spots to visit.
Punta del Este is an excellent investment spot for the Real Estate business.

VIP seaside resort with loads of things to do and see. Don't miss the street market in downtown Gorlero or the VIP stores in 20 street. Pricey but worth the visit

Beautiful place with many things to do.
My favorite is just to walk along the "rambla" seaside on the peninsula, and visit the yacht port.
Lot of nice restaurantes nearby, lot of hotels and apartments to rent.
Estancias nearby, natural beaches, and crowded ones...
During January hundred of thousands of tourists and lot of things to do, from parasailing, to dance until the sun raises.

It's a beach resort town. Has casinos, beaches, yachts and lots of tourists. You can enjoy an active night life or any of its many baches, art museums, high class events.
