EMANCIPATION PARK IS LOCATED IN THE MIDDLE OF NEW KINGSTON, WITH ITS EYE CATCHING STATUE. ITS WHERE YOU CAN GO AND RELAX IN THE GREEN SPACE OR BURN SOME CALORIES JOGGING AROUND THE TRACK, TAKE PICTURES OR JUST LOOK AROUND. ITS A POPULAR SPOT FOR WEDDINGS. OVERALL ITS A GOOD PLACE TO HANG OUT.

There are no public youth hostels in Kingsto,n. However all is not lost if you are an active menber of a church these oranizations will usually provide accomodation for people coming to the island to do outreach\. However these arrangements must be made well in advance through communication from your local parish priest to the Jamaican community. There is very nice accomodation available in chursh owned properties but you must make the necessary arrangements.

Emancipation Park is still drawing attention almost six years after it was first opened in 2002. It was name Emancipation Park as a tribute to the slaves whose lives are intrinsically intertwined with the island, this is not just a regular park. It is a living, breathing testament to the history of the people and the cultures that combine to make Jamaica.

Emancipation Park embodies the sign of a new begining. Upon entering the park you get a feling of wellbeing. The name and the statues signifies people being emancipated. Not only black people or Jamaicans, but people of all races with diverse backgrounds. this is a place where you can enjoy the great outdoors, flora and even the occasional uplifting concerts. Want to get married this is a great venue, or maybe just pictures wether it's after the wedding or birthday pics, maybe just recreational this is the place to be. Visit Emancipation Park you won't be dissapointed.

Gorgeous landmark depicting Jamaica's Heritage. The park has safe secure parking, and lush green grasses around, with a jogging track for the athletic and comfortable seating for he romantic overlooking the beautiful fountains
