Bible Rock, the English used to call it. Book Mountain, Batalegala rock are some other names. One can go more than halfway up in a car now. It is a special view over a canopy of green that greets you once you are on the top. The surroundings are nice too.

Batalegala (Bible Rock) is Small Rock Mountain standing alone with pride. When you look at it from Kadugannawa, from A1 (Colombo-Kandy) road, it looks quite like Sigiriya rock. Take the Aranayake road from Mawanella at A1 road. This is very good place for trekking.
