love the city, it's climat, Cracow is a city known for historical monuments such as Wawel (the castle of polish kings) but also for it's cultural life. District called "Kazimierz", which by the way is a jewish area, is full of small pubs, restaurants, clubs. If you want to party go there. And so if you are there you have to go to place called "okrÄ…glak" it's a bulding where you can buy at "Endzior" the cheapest but also the best casserole, "zapiekanka" in polish, in whole city. Usually there is a queue/line still it's worth waiting ;) In the Main Market's neibourhood you will find a lot of churches, after all we are catholic, although not all of them is still opened daily such as the st. Wojciech Church, which by the way is in the main market. It's a small church, i think it's even the smallest in the city. Cracow is students city. Every year there are students days "Juwenalia", at that time (usually 3 days) students rule the city. The participants march from a college's campus to city's main square, where in a symbolic gesture, the mayor of a city hands keys to the city's gates to the students. The three days are free from lectures and filled with concerts, parties, sports events as well as beer drinking. Friendly people. may have sometimes problem with language because not everybody is capable of speaking english, still in most places you ought not to have problem. If so ask young people. (* i'm 19 however when i started school at 6 there wasn't a law telling that children have to study foreign languages, in public schools the level is still poor but every year it's growing ;) you need to remember that since 1989 we are free nation, before, comunism ruled in our contry. *) best time to visit june - the weather is in poland unpredictable however i find june as the month most of a time warm and sunny. what els...hm...if you have any questions just ask and i'll try to answer them ;)
