This an amazing place. If you stand here on a moonlit night, it is like standing on the moon itself. It is a curved mountain, with a beautiful old temple on it. Quite close to the Bible rock and easily seen from it too. The way is from Mawanella through the Hemmathagama Road.

Devanagala is a rocky hill, in fact a large single rock, on which there is a Buddhist Temple. You'll have a spectacular view all around: paddy fields, villages, and mountains. I recommend you visit the place in morning as the rock becomes hot by the afternoon. You can take either of two routes from Mawanella in Colombo – Kandy A1 Road: Hemmathagama or Aranayake.
