Emancipation Park is a recently opened park in Kingston to give a special green space in Kingston where persons can enjoy music, choral recitals, and dramas in an area that is clean and well laid out. Jamaicans have a love me or leave me attitude for the statues that have been erected in the park. When they first came out for a year there was talk about it, mainly offensive talk. Those who appreciate art speak highly of them. The meaning to me of the statues is two people looking upward to heaven and praying for a new life with freedom. It is as if they are saying what now? we hope,we pray that freedom is the answer, and with that answer, we hope to achieve all our desires in making this land a better land.

Emanipation Park is beautful place. It has a jogging trail for the health concious persons to jog or walk. It also has the a water flowing through the area and benches to sit and enjoy the surroadings. Located in the centre of New Kingston it is close to food places and hotels. It is a nice place to relax.

the emancipation park in Kingston Jamaica is located on oxford road opposite the Jamaica Pegasus hotel it is a very nice place to go and relax in the evenings and watch the sunset it also has a jogging track and an oval shaped center stage where events are held it also has a wide range of flowers,shurbs,trees and an exquisite lawn complete with benches and a waterfall.
