Shakarparian hills, a series of low hills and knolls near Zero Point(entry to Islamabad, at a varying height max 600 meters. Its terraced gardens offers pleasant and sweeping views of Margalla hills and view of Islamabad from the south eastern end.
There is a impressive monument like a huge lotus leaf on its western most hillock.
Excellent for a lazy drive and a great walk.

While entering from the side of Moon and star sign, you will find a walled park for camping for tourists only. This is adjusnd to Jasmin gardon. Enough place for camping with tight security. You can stay here and approach the city with any available convience. Zero point is near by. Hotels, restaurants and shoping malls all available near by.
In-between the twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi are the Shakar Parian Hills. This area is divided into two main viewpoints, the Eastern and the Western. The eastern viewpoint has beautiful cascaded lawns and terraces, with beautiful views of the city of Islamabad. The Sports Complex, Aabpaara Market beyond, the Kashmir Highway all the way to the Convention Centre and beyond is visible. The western viewpoint overlooks the historic twin city of Rawalpindi, providing the visitor a beautiful view. The entire area has numerous other attractions, including the Natural History Museum, the Lok Virsa Museum, and the Lotus Lake. To get there, take Islamabad Highway towards Rawalpindi and turn left from the Shakar Parian turning. Very easy to find.
