Former financial district, banks moved or were sold. Remains Citibank building and office, Former Banco Real headquarter and now Paulista branch, former Mercantil finasa building, now Bradesco branch, Banco de la Nacion Argentina and some minor investment banks.
To see:
MASP. Museum. It has a very good restaurant in the basement.
Parque Trianon. Safe to visit during the day. Avoid going at night.

There are some things to do. There's an Art Museum, some good restaurants and shops. From there, you can take the subway to other sightseeings such as the Pinacoteca ( Tiradentes subway station), Museu de Arte Sacra (Tiradentes subway Station), Catedral da Sé (Sé Station). On Tiradentes Subway Station, that's the apparel neighborhood in case you're interested in buying clothes. If you have more time to spend, go to Ibirapuera Park and its surroundings.
