This is awesome cable car, definitely it is a great place to go, you can have a lot of fantastic views.
At the top there is a lot of restaurants, you can walk up to the crater of the volcano. Just remember that it is very high so it can take your breath away.

A nice alternative to the usual tour, getting to the Teleferico is something many 'iquiteños' will actually do during holidays. It is not far, offers a nice view of the whereabouts, you may even get some horses to ride around or just enjoy the ride up to the top of the 'mirador'

The teleferico is an installation of transport that works according to the principle of the sway. The hardiness and scanty maintenance of the structure have been determinant factors in the election for the constructions placed in high mountain, in diverse parts of the world. The project teleferico of the city of Quito is turning actually, since it is being constructed in the skirts of the Ruccu Pichincha. This tourist attraction will add those that nowadays the city possesses.
It is located in the city of Quito, on the Av. Western at a height of the Av. The Gasca, to be able to enjoy the beauty of the city, the valleys, the snow-capped mountains and all it natural and ecological environment. Here they will find zones of scattering and amusement, as a park of mechanical attractions, commercial walk, sites for degustation of eaten, amusement, spectacles, areas to promote the art and culture, church, put Andean, spa, fish-pond, aviario; in general, a site of familiar integration, a place that will be of great attractively both for the national visitors and for foreigners.
Characteristic: 8 cabins with capacity of 6 persons each one, a tour of approximately between 8 to 10 minutes in 2.500 linear meters, the teleferico gets up from 2.950 meters up to 4.050 meters of altitude, 2 cabins of load.

Wow, a nice cable car in the Pichincha slopes,
For us, the people that love mountains, is a great relief for going to Rucu Pichincha or Padr Encantado Mountain, those are two rocky mountain that are, not far from Quito but you have to pass different mountains and hill to reah them.
Also is nice if you want to appreciate a little better the city, you can have a grreat 360º view and also of the vallys and the differrent volcanoeas in the horizon

Another classic spot for killer views of Quito is the Teleferico. Take a 10min ride up in the 6 person carriage from 2,950 meters up to 4,050 meters of altitude. It costs around $8/person.
At the top you can take it easy by just strolling around enjoying the views from the watch station, grab a bite at one of the cafes or check out the gift shops (but keep in mind like most tourist hot spots things are a little overpriced there), or if you're in shape and somewhat acclimatised to Quito's altitude try taking a little hike up the hill for more views and a closer look at the mountains, you can even take a horseback tour and make a day of it.
It's worth it to feel on top of the world for a day!
