of course u can make beach holiday here in Romania, many quiet beach on the Black Sea Side...about the budget...almost 700 USD/WEEK to eat in the restaurant and about the hotel,dipend...but i can say between 250-1000 USD/Week this is because i dont know exacly if u prefer a pension or a nice hotel...and for other things u know better what do u want to do..anyway,not very expensive..have a nice holiday!
Hi

Yes, you can have a holiday at seaside in Romania, and for nice and cheap week you need for food, drink and accomodation like 600$ ...more or less..it depedens on your standards. The most expensive resort is MAMAIA but you can find cheper ones like SATURN, VENUS but i told depends on what do you want.If you book early..for example if you book starting now for the summer you can find really good deals.
Corbu beach, 2 mai, Vama Veche
all of those are nice. June is also a nice time and not so crowded with tourists
You can find everything you want depending on what you spend money on the web site:
man all your answers are links to websites. Do you imagine that people would never find without your help websites?...sorry
Hi!you can find a quiet beach at "2 Mai", "Vama Veche".
They are villages for fiherman but thez also have quiet beach. There also verz expensive places like Mamaia, Neptun.
Not really...The Southern area of the Black Sea Coast is crowded, starting from July. The sea is not beautiful and very polluted. You have an option in the north, closer to the Danube Delta, but there the water is totally Grey because because of the Danube. People of course are not civilized and throw their trash everywhere on the beach... But you can really find solitary places. The best option is Portita - a compromise between isolation and touristic developed areas, is close to the Delta, located on the limb between a Razelm Lagoon and the Black Sea. In the neighborhood many ruins and artifacts of antic Greek colonies; the Danube - amazing place again, words do not suffice - and the sea. Nightlife on the beach in the camping or in small local club... You can fish, wildlife (pics) shooting sessions , birds watching, meet real people and traditional local cuisine - a very inspiring place. If you like nightlife and crowded places; Mamaia, Olimp and Neptun...quite boring, just poor imitation of unknown full of garbage Rivieras; no blue water, no reefs, paper palms and the whole everything what kitschy minds could imagine - 40 euros/day for accommodation and 50 euros/day for meals in acceptable restaurants. If U like campus crazy atmosphere Vama Veche, 2 Mai, Costinesti - very animated places, affordable huge crowded discos, crazy nice people...not very expensive; around 70%-75% from previous rates (even less). Good luck!
Check this link also : or (they have english version too); you can find the type of accomodation you are looking for. The romanian shores are pretty expensive, so my advice is to have with you around 1000$. Vama Veche, 1Mai are pretty quiet beaches.Enjoy your trip! Fare well!!
Hi!
It depends on your idea of fun and what do you mean by quiet beach. There are a few quiet beaches the more you go upnorth! Everything going down south, excepting the one on 2 Mai, is very crowded and modernized! So quiet beaches, you can find by going north of Navodari, to Corbu or to Vadu! There are very nice empty beaches and not so touched by civilisation!Be aware that you have to take your tent with you and also food and water, if you want to stay there, because there is nothing close to the beach! If you need more info, please feel free to contact me!
HI there,
you have 2 options: 1 is to chose among those 7 or 9 beach cities created along the coast, with many hotels, pensions, etc. - cost range from 300 USD/ wk to 1,000 USD/ wk. 2 you can chose camping directly on the beach, between cities, far away from civilization and with no human being around - cost only the food and drinks you need for the week!
unfortunately Romanian Black Sea coast is one place that I won't recommend for holiday, is crowdy, dirty and extremely expensive. Maby Portita as someone else also recommended can be an option. Vama Veche is not anymore what it use to be, I heard that you should be careful on the beach to not step on a needle. so my honest opinion is if you want beach holiday to look elsewhere, Bulgarian Black sea coast, Turkey, Croatia.
they try to keep it clean but don't do enough efforts for it. However, even if Vama Veche is not what it was before, still could be an option... Also, in Mamaia and Eforie I saw some private beach areas but I didn't go inside to see how they look... but suppose they are clean at least...
A nice beach would be at Gura Portitei/Sulina/Sf Gheorghe - in the Danube Delta there are very beautiful beaches, quiet and isolated. The same can be said about the beach at Corbu - still untouched by the mass tourism, with all its consequences.

A big and quiet beach is that of Navodari, but it has the great disadvantage of being close to the Navodari Industrial Complex.

As for the budget, it depends on the period of time you choose for your vacation, also for the type of vacation you want: rustical or four-stars. Anyway, do expect higher prices than you would pay in Bulgaria or Greece.

Unfortunately I have to confirm the opinion of other localytes: the Romanian Black Sea Coast is not the best place to choose if you are looking for clean, unspoiled nature and good services in return for your money. The Bulgarian Black Sea Coast would be a better choice - not to speak of other european destinations.
Hi. Yes you can spend a quiet holiday at the Black Sea's shore, but as a foreign tourist I sincerely don't recommand you to spend your holiday here. Not yet anyway. If you need more info let me know.
Yes Mamaia is a good place to go. What hotel type are you looking for?
User61672, i don't recommend Romania for a good seaside retreat, the beaches are not that bad, but the services are expensive and don't compensate for the money you give.
I highly recommend you go for Greece, Bulgaria or Turkey, those are cheaper and much better services than in Romania, in Bulgaria, a night at a 4 star hotel with All Inclusive and other hotel services is like 30 euros. At the romanian seaside, a night at a decent hotel costs you like 50-60 euros a day, MAYBE with breakfast included.Cheers mate.
Hi there mate,
