Unearthed tomb of Shendwas, father of Khonsu, who both served as heads of the royal scribes during the Old Kingdom, is decorated with a painting depicting the owner sitting at a sacrifice table, in Saqqara near Cairo, Egypt, Discovery announced Wednesday, July 7, 2010

March 2010 - Archaeologists have unearthed the intact sarcophagus of Egypt's Queen Behenu inside her 4,000-year-old burial chamber near her pyramid in Saqqara, chief archaeologist Zahi Hawass announced Wednesday. The Old Kingdom queen's chamber was badly damaged except for two inner walls covered with spells meant to help her travel to the afterlife, he said in a statement. Ancient Egyptians believed that the souls of royalty could fly to heaven, or alternatively use stairs, ramps and ladders with the help of religious spells.

December 2008 Egyptian archaeologists say they have discovered a pair of 4,300-year-old tombs that indicate a burial site south of Cairo is bigger than expected.
The tombs at the Saqqara necropolis belong to two officials from the court of the Pharaoh Unas, Egypt's antiquities chief said.
One was for the official in charge of quarries used for building pyramids, the other for the head of music.
Hieroglyphics decorate the entrances of both the newly discovered tombs.
Zahi Hawass, Egypt's top archaeologist, told reporters that the tombs represented a "major" find.

The list is long!!!! I'm sorry I can't provide you with more,.... just can't keep typing!
