Hi! One of the advantages of coming to Mexico is that fresh fruit and vegetables are more than abundant no matter where you go. If you do not find a vegetarian restaurant, most restaurants will have dishes that can be prepared without meat or will handle a vegetarian menu. There are some restaurants that claim to be fully vegetarian that you might look into. The one that has been most recommended to me by friends who are vegetarian is

Restaurant Vegetarianos
Cancun, Quintana Roo
Av. Tankah No. 81 Mz. 4 Sm. 26
(998) 887-1755

However if you don't find it to your liking my suggestion is find restaurants that have fresh fruit smoothies, vegetable juices and large salad bars. Order Nopal salads, or Nopa grilled with cheese. (Nopal is a cactus, has a strange rubbery texture that takes some getting used to). 100% Natural is another restaurant you might check out. Has huge salad dishes and a great variety of all sorts of juice mixtures.
One of the best option is "100% Natural" located Avenida Yaxchilan s/n Centro, 77500 Cancun, Quintana Roo. The phone number is 01 998 884 0102
This chain of restaurant is on the raise; they also have one in Playa del Carmen on 5th Street. The menu is ample and is online at
The settings of the restaurant of Playa del Carmen is very unique and with fountains under a huge tree.
Plenty of freshly squeezed juices and many combination of flavors to try.
Definitively a place to go more than one time...
