Brazil is really the pioneer in the usage of this fuel, if you want to drive in other coutries out of Brazil, your engine must take gasiline too, renting a car in Brazil would be better because we have FLEX ENGINES that takes both fuels!

Ethanol is sold at every gas station all over Brazil since the 1970´s, and gasoline sold in Brazil has about 25% ethanol. 85% of the new cars produced in Brazil nowadays have a technology called 'flex fuel', making it possible to use either gasoline or ethanol, or the two combined. We are not talking about 'some' ethanol. Not many people from other countries can realize how big is that program: Brazil is the 5th biggest country in the world, with the 5th biggest population. Car companies that have plants adapted for ethanol in Brazil: Peugeot-Citroen, Fiat, Ford, General Motors, Volkswagen, Renault, Mitsubishi, Toyota and Honda. 10 billion litters of ethanol were sold in BRazil in 2007.
As far as I know, Brazil is the pioneer on that type of massive alternative fuel program. I never heard about any other country using ethanol the same way we use in Brazil.
Flex engine is really the best option if you are renting, every gas station sells ethanol.

You can only find ethanol in Brasil's gas stations, nowhere else.
Ethanol is served in ALL fuel stations in Brazil! At least I haven't yet found one that didn't (and my car uses it).
Except for far away places where fuel stations are very spaced, there's one every other corner here.
hello,

you don't really need a list. Ethanol is sold at about 99% of all gas stations in Brazil. Now in regards to south america, Argentina, Bolivia and Paraguay is much like Brazil when it comes to Ethanol ... the rest pretty much run on gas.

You might want to rent a FLEX ENGINE car that runs on both.

if you need any more help

take care
Flex engine is the best and easy option for you!

Just in Brazil and it is soooo handy!
